From the Sox/Yankees borderlands of central Connecticut, I studied at Brown University, where I worked as a writing fellow and graduated magna cum laude with honors in nonfiction. I completed a masters in journalism at Columbia University the next year, finishing with honors in magazine journalism and narrative writing.
Following a road trip (and after crashing a Foreigner concert), I moved to Ketchum, Idaho, in 2016. My work since--first as a writer and editor-in-chief at the Idaho Mountain Express newspaper, then as a freelancer--has focused on the people, places and politics of the Gem state.
